Werrimull Mobile Silos - Victoria

Artists: Jimmy Dvate and Justin Fennelseed

Location: Red Cliffs-Meringur Rd, Werrimull, Victoria

The Werrimull Mobile Silos were painted by Jimmy Dvate and Justin Fennelseed in August 2023.

This collaboration between Jimmy, Justin and the local community showcases the significance of art in capturing and celebrating the essence of the environment.

The chosen theme of "Local Flora & Fauna" is a fitting choice for such a project, as it allows the artists to create visuals that represent the unique wildlife and plant life of the area. Depicting species such as the Budgerigar, Major Mitchell Cockatoo (Pink Cockatoo), Mallee Ring-Neck Parrot, Echidna, Little Eagle, and Emu not only showcases the rich biodiversity of the region but also fosters a sense of connection and appreciation for these creatures among both residents and visitors.

Art has the power to communicate ideas, evoke emotions, and create a lasting impact on a community. By transforming the mobile silos into canvases that display these magnificent creatures, the project likely aims to raise awareness about the importance of preserving local ecosystems and wildlife habitats. It also creates a visually stunning and engaging landmark that can serve as a point of pride for the community.
