The Two Wells Football & Netball Sporting Club is thrilled to unveil their water tank art project which was completed in 2023.

The mural was painted by artist Kyle Armstrong from Whale Tale whose father and grandfather were both locals of Two Wells and who both played football for the club. If you look closely to the footballers behind Graeme and Cheeky, you can see three players with numbers on their backs. Each number represents a member of Kyle’s family, his dad and his two uncles who also played for the club.

Kyle was instrumental in the idea for the design and the community is extremely proud of the work he has done which was made possible through funding secured from Country Arts SA. This initiative celebrates the rich history of the Two Wells community, honoring local legends and life members who have significantly contributed to sports in their region.

It's truly heartwarming to see a community come together to celebrate its history and honor the individuals who have played a significant role in shaping its sporting culture.

The project was recently announced as the winner of the Adelaide Plains Council Community Project of the Year and is a testament to the dedication and creativity of everyone involved. A huge thank you to Kyle and the broader team who brought this project together. Acknowledging the efforts of Lynette Seccafein, the chief organizer, Michael Slattery for photography, and the support from Country Arts SA and the local community emphasizes the collaborative spirit that makes such projects successful. It's wonderful to see community-driven initiatives being recognized and celebrated.
