Moulamein Water Tower Art - New South Wales
Artist: Heesco
Location: Pretty Pine Road, New South Wales
Painted by renowned artist Heesco in April 2025, the Moulamein Water Tower artwork beautifully captures three defining themes of the region: History, Agriculture, and Nature.
On the historic side of the tower stands a striking depiction of a River Red Gum—one of the largest in the Riverina—measuring an impressive 11.6 metres in circumference. Known locally as “The Big Tree,” this natural giant is a culturally significant Meeting Place for Traditional Indigenous owners, with its age estimated between 500 and 1,000 years.
Moulamein itself lies in the heart of New South Wales’ Riverina region—one of Australia’s most prominent rice-growing areas—where agriculture plays a vital role in the community’s identity and livelihood.
