The Lismore Water Tower in Victoria was painted by Jimmi Buscombe in February 2020.

The tower portrays two dancing Brolgas, one magnificent proud male and his female beside him, which are a native bird to the area, sitting in a misty field with some sheep in the distance.

Plants around the base are Blue Devin, Feather Heads, Bright Heads, Agapanthus and Chocolate Lilies, all also native to the area.

During March 2020 Jimmi will paint two Brolga eggs, then thirty two days later he will return ‘hatch’ the eggs. These stages will be captured in a stop motion animation which will be viewable as Augmented Reality for anyone visiting the Water Tower.

The tower is very easy to find as it’s right opposite the Fairway Coffee and Eatery which serves breakfast and lunch seven days a week, then dinner Thursday to Sunday.

The project was funded by GPG Naturgy Group (wind Turbine Company), And supported by Corangamite Shire Council, the Lismore Golf Club, Haymes Paints, Hire Australia and Lismore Coffee and Eatery.
