The Lawrence Water Tower Art, created by NITSUA in July 2023, conveys a profound story.

For countless generations, we have gazed up at the expansive sky, seeking a connection with our ancestral spirits and marveling at the wonders beyond our planet. This connection to the sky instills a sense of well-being, guided by the fortunate stars that illuminate our path and offer hope for a brighter future.

As humans, we are composed of 70% water. Under the radiance of the full moon, the river flows deeply, influenced by the gravitational forces that create the ebb and flow of tides. As we raise our eyes towards the moon, the vibrant plumage of the Rainbow Lorikeet soars gracefully through the valley, leaving trails of rainbow-colored dust in its wake. It symbolizes the eternal and magical flow of the mighty Clarence River as it winds its way through the valley and out to the vast sea.

This artwork on the Lawrence Water Tower encapsulates the beauty and interconnectedness of nature, inviting viewers to contemplate the celestial and earthly elements that shape our existence. It serves as a testament to the enduring power and majesty of the natural world, reminding us of the importance of preserving and cherishing our environment.
