The Kingscote Silo Art is located on Kangaroo Island and was completed in late January 2022.
This mural features a massive 25 metre tall Kangaroo, reported to be the largest Kangaroo mural in Australia, an almost equally as large Glossy Black Cockatoo with its wings spread.
The artists Cam Sale and Andrew Davis added exceptional detail and artistry of the vegetation all the way up the silo tower, including limestone rocks under the Kangaroos feet. When you take a closer look you can also see a flock of little Corellas sitting amongst the trees.
This silo took Cam Scale and his assistant Andrew Davis four weeks to complete creating amazing artwork ensuring that they portrayed the native animals of Kangaroo Island.
The town of Kingscote located on Kangaroo Island have had a long term goal to create such exceptional work to be painted on their silo. It was all made possible by the Advance Kingscote Progress Association INC.
Thank you to the silo owners Scott and Jude Shurven for letting Cam Sale and his assistant Andrew Davis show us our amazing Australian native animal heritage.
