Kallangur is a suburb in the Morton Bay region of Queensland, 30 km north of Brisbane.

In June 2017 as part of Unitywater's Graffiti Prevention Program, The Kallangur Water Tower was painted by Jordon Bruce, The Zookeeper & Drapl in conjunction with Juggler Art Space and Unity Water.

This water tower is located at the intersection of Anzac Parade and Narangba Road. It stands 33 metres tall, with a top tank diameter of 6.72 metres and a base diameter of 5.05 metres and presented some unique challenges for the seasoned mural artists.

For four weeks Jordan, Joel and Travis Vinson, worked long days and often six days a week to bring the design to life. Titled ‘Symbiosis’ featuring the Xanthorrhoea bush at the base of the tower and a black cockatoo in the top reaches, the mural was designed to blend into its surroundings and it does perfectly.

Parking Information

This water tower is located at the intersection of Anzac Parade and Narangba Road. It's a busy intersection so we suggest parking opposite the water tower on the side street, Marsden Road,  which is  just off Naranga Road and behind the petrol station. Parking there suits caravans and motor-homes alike.

The design symbolises the regeneration of Kallangur, highlighting the black cockatoo - signifying rain.
