The concrete walls of the Green Hill Reservoir were transformed into a work of art, as part of Seqwater’s first community artwork project.

Seqwater teamed up with year 7 art students from nearby Indooroopilly State High School and Street Art Murals Australia (SAMA) to create design concepts based on three themes – Water for life, Nature around us and Urban habitat.

The design concepts were put out to a community vote with more than 50% in favour of the Water for life concept.

The Water for life artwork incorporates local wildlife amongst trees and natural water systems, with hints of the water reservoir itself. The colour palette features an array of natural blues, greens, vibrant yellows and reds.

Painting of the Water for life community artwork was completed in June 2017.

The aim of the Green Hill Reservoirs community artwork project was to reduce problem graffiti and get the community involved in creating a brighter and more welcoming space.

Although Google lists the address as 203 Russell Terrace in Chapel Hill, the entrance to the carpark is actually via Dellamara Street, a small "no through road"  right next to a roundabout on Russell Terrace. Upon entry, you will also see a mural with many types of dogs. This is also an 'off the lead' dog park.
