Casino Water Tower Art - New South Wales

The transformation of the 83-year-old art deco water tower in South Casino has been a long time coming.
Richmond Valley Council put forward several mural designs for the community to decide which one was best for the tower.
Queensland-based artists Brightsiders & Steve Falco began painting the Casino mural in March 2022, but local flooding and bad weather halted the continuation of the project. The painting team returned in October 2022 to finish what is truly one of the best painted water towers in Australia.
The Project depicts a Bundjalung woman doing the traditional work of basket weaving using the natural environment for her basket supplies. Also included is a typical Aussie farmer with his cattle dog and a magnificent swan in flight over water.
