Since 2017, the Water Corporation of Western Australia has been working with talented home-grown artists, turning drab water and wastewater assets into works of art throughout the state. Known as the 'Splash of Colour' program they engage local artists to work with schools and community groups to deliver meaningful creations for the local community.

The Broome Water Tank Art is 2,229 km north of Perth and is located at the bird-watching facility at the Broome South Wastewater Treatment Plant.

It was painted by Martha Lee and Kirra Watson for the Western Australian Water Corporation ‘Splash of Colour’ program in mid 2018.

The artwork depicts the common birds seen at the wastewater treatment plan which is a popular bird-watching site.

This artwork is part of the Western Australian Water Corporation 'Splash of Colour' program.

This water tower can be tricky to find. Follow Clementson Street until you see Autopro. There is a side access road beside the store where you can easily see the water tower behind a fence.
