Completed in 2018 the Belmont Forum water tank was pained by Mel McVee.
The Belmont Forum Water Tank was inspired by some of the spectacular patterned finches that have been found around Australia. It is also to showcase how beautiful and unique our local native plants and animals are.
About the Artist
Mel is a Perth born multi-disciplinary artist working primarily in the realms of community art and murals.
Her interest in street art emerged through community activation projects in her local area. Her work celebrates what is locally beautiful and quintessentially Australian using bold, intensively colorful form and lines.
