The Beechford Water Tank was commissioned by the Beechford Residents and the Property Owners Association. 


Beechford is a rural locality in the local government area (LGA) of George Town in the Launceston LGA region of Tasmania. The locality is about 22 kilometres (14 mi) north-east of the town of George Town.


About the Artist


James Cowan, better known as ‘KreamArt’ is an Australian Street Artist.


KreamArt is recognised for his large scale murals of native animals, animations and graffiti styled designs. His passion for art started when he was only fourteen years old, learning and expanding his skills as a self-taught artist in the alleyways of Launceston, Tasmania.


Kreamart’s murals are spread out amongst Launceston and mainland Australia, where the public can view and appreciate these eye catching paintings



Parking Information


Beach access is via a small sand track near the now-defunct football oval, or over a small foot bridge that crosses a tidal estuary. The coastline and white sandy beach is used for walking, mountain biking, snorkelling, kite surfing, swimming and fishing.
