The Chester Park Water Tower was completed in August 2019.

It was inspired by the design of Indigenous artist Kyra Mancktelow who beat 17 other entries to win. Kyra says that her theme is ‘Indigenous Warrior’ which s a tribute to teachers, lawyers, police and community people who uphold ‘Justice for all’.

The design features four traditional elders at the top part of the tower looking over those modern warriors below. It has the Quandamooka heritage and the City of Logan official colours.

The installing artists bringing Kyra’s vision to life are Paul Turnbull, Jay Christensen and Laing Rahner.

The tower is located beside Boronia Heights State School at ‪192 Middle Road, Boronia Heights‬, Logan. There is a 60-70 car park at the school, which would be busy during the week, but free on the weekends. Half the front of the park is a bus stop, but the other half allows parking 7 days a week.
